In operating and expanding its palm oil business, the company is committed to zero land burning policy. Carrying the vision of becoming a reliable palm oil company from upstream to downstream with professional management that meets international standards, we have 6 missions to be carried out. First, building stakeholders prosperity. Second, building a professional, internationally standardized, integrated, and effectively and efficiently controlled company system and management. Third, building a good, strong, and trusted customer and supplier network both domestically and internationally. Fourth, building qualified human resources by always consistently providing education, training, and seminars. Fifth, building good and strong personal character for each individual at Mustika Agung through ethics, moral, and character training.
Working together with all our stakeholders, we hope to achieve our humanitarian missions oriented towards providing education and training to enhance the skills for those people who has positive and good spirit in our surrounding society. All of these company missions are carried out by upholding company values of Mustika Agung, which are humbleness, excellency, loyalty, spirit for continuous learning, integrity, creativity and skill to adapt.
In handling the factory’s production waste, we use a land application system by converting waste into natural fertilizer which is then distributed to local farmers without any charges. In addition, we also applied an anaerobic and aerobic bacteria development system.
In running its daily operation, to ensure better work coordination and controlling, technology such as CCTV and other integrated application system are being employed in all parts of the factory and work space. The company also applied strict internal audit system to ensure that every SOP (standard operational procedures) are in place. SOP training for all employees is done using our inhouse videos and we are using an integrated online system that linked all administration procedures from the factory to the head office. In its operation, the company put heavy emphasize on its human resource development. Thus, to further enhance the quality and building the character of our human resources, other than having our own ethic guidance book, we also conducted disciplinary training for our current and prospective employees. This training is conducted in collaboration with our national military force (TNI). Other than this, to further enhance the leaderships of our human resources and to build a sense of belonging to the company, we have routine activities that include Monday morning briefing, morning exercise, traveling, team building activity and other team work activities. Each employee is assessed using Key Performance Indicators or KPIs.
PT Mustika Agung also brings positive impact on farmers’ welfare and the national economy. Local farmers can sell fresh fruit bunches (FFB) directly at better prices than before, as they can be paid by cash at the factory. Besides, with the company operations, the job opportunities are more widely available for the locals. With all these, the economy of the surroundings local people are clearly improved.
As a company with integrity, we do not neglect the welfare of the community around the factory. Activities such as building places of worship, assist in improving public facilities including road maintenance, helping natural disaster victims, providing basic necessities for the underprivileged and poor, providing economic assistance and personal protective equipment (PPE) for people affected by COVID-19 are various activities that we do as a real form of concern for the welfare of the local community. We will continue to always give our best efforts in becoming a reliable and professional palm oil company.
