BANGKO PUSAKO—The palm oil mill (PKS) of PT. Mustika Agung Sarana Sejahtera (PT. Mass) is repairing Jalan H. Annas Maamun in Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The repairs, which stretch over 7 kilometers, are estimated to cost hundreds of millions of rupiah. "The road repairs we're assisting with are quite extensive, yes... quite substantial. Hundreds of millions will definitely be spent," said Muliono, Mill Manager of the PT. MASS PKS, Sunday (January 26, 2020). Muliono stated that the cost of the road repairs is expected to reach over IDR 170 million. The company will cover the cost of the repairs directly through the road repairs. This means the company is deploying a number of heavy equipment and operators. The PT. MASS PKS includes graders, compactors, and dump trucks. The work is expected to take seven days, Muliono said. At the grader repair site, Muliono admitted that the road repairs, which had been underway since January 26, 2020, were proceeding well. He also noted that the first day of repairs was facilitated by sunny weather. "(The road repair work) has been smooth so far, without any obstacles. The weather has been good, with no rain, so the work on the ground has been swift," he said. Meanwhile, Dedi Humadi, a community leader from Bangko Pusako, expressed his gratitude for the company's road repairs. He stated that the road repairs would bring numerous benefits to the community. "We are certainly grateful to PT. MASS. These road repairs are very beneficial for the people of Bangko Pusako. Therefore, we fully support them and are ready to ensure there are no disruptions whatsoever. How can we receive so much help and not be grateful?" said the former Speaker of the Rohil Regional People's Representative Council (Jon).
